Alcohol & Drug Abuse Council for the Concho Valley
Mission: This mission of the Alcohol & Drug Abuse Council for the Concho Valley is to save lives and create healthier communities. ADACCV provides substance abuse prevention and treatment services. ADACCV's primary target population includes indigent and uninsured adults who may otherwise be unable to access treatment through private or personal means. Treatment programs include residential and outpatient treatment for adults. The treatment programs are highly structured and encourage clients to pursue personal and social adjustment goals with an emphasis on a strong recovery lifestyle. Clients learn budgeting, menu planning, life skills, social skills, parent/child bonding, nurturing and healthy discipline. The Prevention team works with youth as young as 4 through college age and provides age appropriate curriculum and activities. Lessons include self-esteem and refusal skills. ADACCV's primary service area, the Concho Valley, has a population of approximately 150,000 and covers 13 counties.
