Reagan is the daughter of Stacy and Rex Stephenson. Born in 2007, Reagan was diagnosed with Dilated Cardiomyopathy. The transplant team at Texas Children's Hospital in Houston, Texas, performed a life-saving heart transplant on February 15, 2008. San Angelo volunteers have a goal to raise a total of $100,000 for COTA for Reagan's Journey. Our goal for San Angelo Gives is $10,000. 100% of the proceeds raised from fundraising will be available for a lifetime of transplant-related expenses.


Reagan was born on May 20, 2007, with what was thought at first to be a heart murmur. After some precautionary testing results came back showing a more serious issue, Reagan was flown from San Angelo, TX, to Children's Methodist in San Antonio at 2 days old where she was diagnosed with dilated cardiomyopathy. Dilated cardiomyopathy is a disease of the heart muscle where the heart's ability to pump blood is decreased because the heart's main pumping chamber, the left ventricle is enlarged and weakened.
