Throughout the year EHNCP staff and volunteers provide guided educational programs, activities, and hikes for K-12 classes, summer camps, and university and adult groups. The nature center houses paleontology exhibits, plant and animal displays, an impressive rock collection, and a gift shop. Through our interpretive programs and associated hiking trails, visitors learn about and experience the region's natural and human history. Not only does EHNCP provide a year-round opportunity for Sonora's approximately 2,500 residents to explore and enjoy the outdoors, but EHNCP's adjacent proximity to Interstate 10 attracts many nature enthusiasts, birders, and other travelers from throughout the world. Trails are open every day from sunrise to sundown. Eaton Hill also hosts birthday parties, often combining science and art activities, and we host community enrichment programs. We are the only organization of this type and focus in our remote west Texas county.
