We believe & know it to be true: Jail/Prison Ministry is one of the most important mission fields in America today! Our two Chaplain employees, one male and one female, go Within the Walls at the new county jail & counsel inmates one on one. It is so important to counsel those in need and those who are sometimes in dire situations. There are an average of 15 counseling sessions per day and each new inmate seen as soon as 24 hours after arrest. Chaplains must also deliver death notices to the inmates when family members pass away. This was very important during the pandemic - delivering news of parents, spouses, and even children who have died unexpectedly of COVID-19 or any other illness or situation. Many times, the inmates do not know family members are sick. These chaplains are critical to the jail and helping those in need.

The ministry has over 130 volunteers who go into the jail several times each week to teach inmates about the bible. The volunteers take worship music & lessons to provide a "church" environment for any person in the pod who would like to attend. This "church service" is the best way to minister to them beyond the one-on-one with the chaplains.
