About the Organization
Grounding all that we do in the educational, artistic and therapeutic potential of dance, BSA has four core areas of programming: 1) dance education, 2) community outreach, 3) fitness and 4) original productions of the highest professional quality possible. BSA is a local collaborator, initiating creative projects and responding to the needs of human services and arts organization needing choreography, rehearsal space, production support, and dancer identification. Program specifics below:
DANCE EDUCATION: BSA Children's Division & Academy Classes for Girls & Boys (Creative Movement through SAISD-Accredited Pre-Professional Level)
COMMUNITY OUTREACH Joy of Movement, Weekly Parkinson's/Senior Dance Program in 4 locations; Sharing Dance, a public school dance/arts/health initiative; Adapted performances for Autism Alliance families evening before productions open
FITNESS BSAFit Classes (BSA Barre, Pilates, Adult Ballet, Yoga, Tap, Soul Fusion)
ORIGINAL PRODUCTIONS Sharing Dance, The Nutcracker, Children's Ballet, Student Showcase celebrating student progression through curriculum, Contemporary Show in May, and free Summer Workshop performances.
